VIDEOSHIP PRIVACY POLICY
About this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how and when personal information is collected, used, stored, and disclosed by Videoship Enterprises Limited (“Videoship”). By using any Videoship websites, software applications, or services — including iNet.Live, iNet.Sport, BlackBelt, CBS NewsPath, and the installable Upload/Download Agent (collectively, the “Services”) — you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Videoship is committed to protecting your privacy and operates on a principle of data minimization. We do not collect personal information unless it is necessary for the delivery of our Services. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes, and we never read or harvest third-party cookies.
1. Collection of Personal Information
Personal information is collected only when necessary to provide our Services or when you voluntarily provide it (e.g., by creating an account). This may include your name, email address, phone number, and transaction details.
When you use our Services — including our Windows-based Videoship Upload/Download Agent, which facilitates secure file transfers to and from your device — we may collect certain technical data such as your IP address, operating system version, device name, transfer logs, and file metadata. This information is used solely to maintain functionality, ensure the integrity of file delivery, and improve system performance.
In addition, Videoship uses automated tools to extract metadata from contributed video files — such as voice-to-text transcription, brand and celebrity recognition, and game event tagging — to enable content discovery. This metadata is not linked to user identity and is used solely to organize and improve content accessibility.
We do not use or access third-party cookies to track your activity elsewhere on the internet. We may use our own first-party cookies to maintain session state and personalize your experience on Videoship platforms.
If you prefer, you may disable cookies through your browser settings.
2. Use & Disclosure of Personal Information
We only use your personal information to provide and support the Services you request. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking.
Your information may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:
-
To facilitate a transaction or service you’ve requested.
-
When required by law or legal proceedings.
-
To prevent fraud, enforce policies, or protect the rights and safety of our users.
We rely on secure third-party providers for certain technical services (such as infrastructure hosting), but these providers are contractually bound to maintain strict data security and confidentiality.
Videoship also integrates external AI services (e.g., for transcription or image analysis) through secure, encrypted channels. These services analyze content files only and do not receive or process any personally identifiable information or account data.
3. Electronic Marketing
We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. If you opt in to receive updates from Videoship, you may unsubscribe at any time via the link in the message or by contacting our Privacy Officer.
4. Personal Information Quality
We aim to ensure your information is accurate and current. If your details change, please contact us so we can update our records.
5. Personal Information Security
We use industry-standard security measures — including encryption, access controls, and secure data centers in Canada and the U.S. — to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.
System activity, including API usage and platform access, may be recorded via system logs (e.g., AWS CloudTrail) for operational monitoring, auditing, and security. These logs contain metadata only and are not tied to user identities unless required for investigation or policy enforcement.
Videoship will not be held liable for data breaches outside our reasonable control, such as third-party attacks, system failures, or force majeure events.
6. Access to Personal Information
You may request access to or correction of your personal information by contacting our Privacy Officer. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and may charge a fee only if the request is unusually time-consuming.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted at https://www.videoship.com/privacypolicy.
8. Complaints
If you have concerns or complaints about our privacy practices, please contact our Privacy Officer. We aim to respond within 14 business days and resolve any issue within 30 days.
